Custom Tile Commissions

When working with a client on a custom architectural project, concept development is tailored to the building site, along with the needs, preferences and vision of the client. Multiple design options are explored and created in 3D modeling software; rendered elements can then be exported in a file format that can be imported into the architectural plan. 

   Once a concept is selected, revisions are made as needed until the design is approved for hand modeling and production. Images of works in progress are sent to the client at predetermined intervals to ensure the work is progressing in accordance with the schedule and the client’s expectations. Skilled production specialists hand press, dry and fire each tile to ensure the highest quality standards are attained. Glazing requires a second firing and overglaze applications, if any, require a third. Installation by a specialist experienced with handmade tile is always recommended due to handmade tile's inherent and uniquely beautiful variability.
